Please extend a warm welcome to Printavo’s first intern: Tessa Cohen!
Tessa is an incoming Senior in Design at University of Illinois and will join Printavo for an intensive 11-week internship covering marketing, content, and much more.
Tessa is no stranger to a busy schedule – and already knows the screen printing industry well. She’s on the Illinette dance team and has worked with Steven Farag at Campus Ink for the past two years selling merchandise and learning design.
To say she’s a pro at juggling a busy schedule and conflicting demands is an understatement!
Her experience with Campus Ink meant she already knew about Printavo…and was a perfect candidate for our internship. “It’s been a trip to look at things through the eyes of a shop owner,” she told me. “I’ve seen your emails and content, but now I see it in a totally new light.”
I briefly interviewed Tessa to give you a feel for her personality:
Name two guilty pleasures you have – music, food, TV shows or anything else.
Two guilty pleasures? I love watching the TV show Glee. And I love listening to 2000s pop music.
What’s the best concert you’ve been to?
The best concert I’ve been to was Jason Aldean 2 years ago. My sister and I surprised my mom with tickets for her birthday. It was a on a perfect summer night – which made it so memorable.
What’s your favorite T-shirt that you own?
My favorite t-shirt is one that my best friend (and Campus Ink co-worker, Molly) made with our faces on it. For Campus Ink, every year we go to the warehouse to meet all of the newly hired student managers. We each get to do our own DTG print – and that was the image we decided to do!
Tessa hit the ground running – crafting social campaigns, creating foolproof systems for posting content, building blog posts, writing newsletters, and learning the ins-and-outs of remote work in just two short weeks. She’s brought a special eye for design and a powerful work ethic to the team.
Keep an eye out. You’ll see much more from Tessa before she heads back to school this fall!
